This Writ Petition has been filed by a Secretary of a Cooperative Society challenging an award passed under Section 87 of the Tamilnadu Cooperative Societies Act, 1983.

2.The petitioner is having an effective, efficacious alternative remedy before the Cooperative Tribunal under Section 152 of the Tamilnadu Cooperative Societies Act, 1983. Therefore, the present Writ Petition is not maintainable. Hence, the Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate Tribunal. No costs.
