Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection for conducting Maha Kumbabisekham in Shree Aalipurathamman & Shree Mariamman Thirukovil situated in Ayan Pannapatti Village, Kavalkaranpatti, Manaparai Taluk, Trichy District held on 17.11.2021 to 19.11.2021 based on his representation dated 20.10.2021.

ORDER

The petitioner representing the villagers of Kavalkaranpatti has filed this writ petition for directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection for conducting the petition mentioned event.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, I wanted to know from the petitioner if there is any rival claim. The petitioner's counsel submitted that one Matchakalai is raising some objections. Therefore, he was suo motu impleaded as the third respondent and intimation was directed to be given to him. Even though the third respondent was aware that the writ petition is being taken up for hearing today, he has not chosen to enter appearance.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side),on instructions from the second respondent submitted that they have no objection for giving adequate police protection for ensuring the smooth conduct of the event. W.P.(MD)No.20391 of 2021 will strictly adhere to the instructions that may be issued by the second respondent police in this regard.

4. The Writ Petition is allowed on these terms. No costs.
