This petition is filed seeking quashment of criminal proceedings in C.C.No.494 of 2017 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thoothukudi.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the matter was compromised between the parties in Crl.OP(MD)No.6651 of 2019, which was filed seeking quashment of C.C.No.494 of 2017. Which is subject matter of this petition.

3.It appears that subsequent to the filing of this petition, Crl.OP(MD)No.6651 of 2019 has been filed and the matter was compromised between the parties.

4.Since the criminal proceedings in C.C.No.494 of 2017 in Crl.OP(MD)No.6651 of 2019 has been quashed by this Court, nothing survives for further consideration or direction in this petition. Hence, the petition has become infructuous.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
