ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to change the name in the electricity service connection bearing No. 06-224-009-235 from Chellan to Sri Yoga Vinayagar Palani Aandavar Temple within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. The third respondent is the son of one Chellan, who is one among the administrative committee members of Sri Yoga Vinayagar Palani Aandavar Temple. During his lifetime, electricity service connection bearing No. 06-224-009-235 was availed from the first and second respondent electricity board for the said temple in the name of Chellan. The said Chellan is now no more. Hence, this writ petition came to be filed to change the name pertaining 2/4

to the electricity service connection bearing No.06-224-009-235 from Chellan to Sri Yoga Vinayagar Palani Aandavar Temple.

Recording the death of the said Chellan, in whose name electricity service connection for Sri Yoga Vinayagar Palani Aandavar Temple had been availed, this Court hereby direct the respondents 1 and 2 to transfer the name of the electricity service connection bearing No.06-224-009-235 from the name of deceased Chellan to Sri Yoga Vinayagar Palani Aandavar Temple. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. 09.12.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm TO:-
