The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Sanitary Inspector, who was working in the third respondent Municipality, seeking a Mandamus for releasing a portion of the terminal benefits.
2. The petitioner herein has attained superannuation on 31.05.2025. However, he was not permitted to retire due to pendency of certain charges.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner relies upon the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court passed in W.A.No.1285 of 2019, dated 10.04.2019, wherein this Court has pleased to pass orders to release a portion of the terminal benefits.

4. Relying upon the said decision, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 15.07.2025. Since there was no response, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
5. Considering the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2025 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
