ORDER
The Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.252, School Education (Q) Department, dated 05.10.2012, is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2.The impugned Government order was issued fixing the criteria for selection of candidates, who have cleared the TET for appointment to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher and B.T. Assistants. The said Government order was challenged in a batch of writ petitions and the Court has quashed the Government order issued in G.O.Ms.No.252 and thereafter, the Government issued a revised order in G.O.Ms.No.71. The said Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.71 was also challenged in a batch of writ petitions and the matter went up to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of V.Lavanya & Ors Vs. The State of Tamil Nadu & Ors, reported in 2017(1) SCC 322. The Hon'ble Supreme Court upheld the validity of the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.71. Thus, the present writ petition, challenging the lapsed G.O.Ms.No.252, deserves no merits for consideration and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
