ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 B.N.S.S., seeking orders to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.12.2023 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and one Muthukrishnan have purchased the property in dispute and that the fourth respondent and other villagers, without having any right, have been threatening the petitioner and interfering with the fencing work.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that in pursuance of the direction of this Court in W.P.(MD)No.17141 of 2023 dated 17.07.2023, survey was conducted and even police protection was given at that time. But 2/4

according to the petitioner, subsequent to survey since they have been interfering with the fencing work, the petitioner was constrained to lodge a complaint again before the third respondent and no action was taken so far.

4. Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner as well as to the private respondent and conduct enquiry and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
