: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to put up Vinayagar Statue within the campus of Vinayagar Temple, Kumarapatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District on 07.08.2024 and to take out a procession carrying on Vinayagar statue from Vinayagar Temple, Kumarapatti to the Sri Karuppasamy Temple pond and dissolve the statute in the Temple pond on 09.09.2024 at about 06.00 pm by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 21.08.2024. 1/4

O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to put up Vinayagar Statue within the campus of Vinayagar Temple, Kumarapatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichy District on 07.08.2024 and to take out a procession carrying on Vinayagar statue from Vinayagar Temple, Kumarapatti to the Sri Karuppasamy Temple pond and dissolve the statute in the Temple pond on 09.09.2024 at about 06.00 pm by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 21.08.2024.

2. Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/4

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that there are two groups in the village and two groups are claiming to install Vinayagar Statue and the representation given by the petitioner is pending before the third respondent.

4. Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the third respondent is directed to hear the petitioner as well as other group and to consider the petitioner's representation, if the petitioner and other group are willing to conduct the festival jointly and pass orders in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
