For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.1 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 120(b), 406, 420 of IPC, Section 5 of TNPID Act and Sections 21(1), 21(2), 21(3), 22, 23 of the Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes Act, 2019, in Crime No.1 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were runing a company in the name and style of True Way Services (P) Ltd, in which A9 is

the Chairman and A10 is the Managing Director and they introduced several schemes, canvassed the public, collected huge amount and assured that they will refund the amount with interest or they will be given a property worth for the same value. The defacto complainant invested Rs.25,00,000/- totally on 06.11.2023 and on 24.01.2024. Later he received Rs.80,000/- in two months and since the month of February 2024, he did not receive any amount, as they cheated him. Hence, a case has been registered.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence. He seeks this Court to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that this Court had granted interim anticipatory bail and the petitioner did not cooperate for the investigation. Hence, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner did not cooperate for the investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner at this stage. Therefore, the interim anticipatory bail already granted is vacated.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
