Seeking to quash the final report in C.C.No.284 of 2020 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Dindigul, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed by A7.

2. Mr.C.Susi Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner (A7) would contend that the matter is likely to be settled between the parties. The offences alleged to have been committed by the petitioner (A7) are punishable under Sections 109 and 494 of IPC.

3. Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent police would contend that out of 16 witnesses, 10 witnesses have already been examined.

4. In the circumstances, this Court cannot look into the statements of witnesses recorded by the police under Section 161(3) of Cr.P.C. to find out whether there are any grounds to quash the final report in the present case against the petitioner (A7). The petitioner (A7) can very well approach the trial court for settling dispute between the parties. Page No. 2 of 4
