PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to disburse forthwith all the monetary benefits i.e. arrears of salary and other attendant benefits to the petitioner in the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics in the fourth respondent college for the period between 20.06.2013 and 27.01.2016.

The present Writ Petition has been filed by the Assistant Professor working in the fourth respondent College seeking a Mandamus to disburse the arrears of salary and other attendant benefits to the petitioner for the period between 20.06.2013 and 27.01.2016.
2. The respondents 1 to 3 herein have initially approved the appointment of the writ petitioner with effect from 28.01.2016. Later they revised the date of approval as 20.06.2013 by way of proceedings dated 17.03.2022. The third respondent has stated that the arrears of salary for the period between 20.06.2013 and 27.01.2016 can be paid to the writ petitioner. 2/5
Though the order was passed in the year 2022, so far arrears have not been released to the writ petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation to the second respondent on 17.07.2025.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.
4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents 2 and 3 herein are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and in the light of the order passed by the second respondent, dated 17.03.2022, to disburse the amount within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
