ORDER

This Writ Petition had been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents to waive the crop loan bearing Loan No.1553 obtained by the petitioner from Kalamparam Primary Agricultural Co-operative Credit Society with regard to the cultivation of the land in Survey Nos.89/3, 90/2B, 91/1B, 95/1A, 91/2, 93/1A and 96/1A measuring 0.54.0, 0.41.5, 0.46.5, 0.03.0, 0.13.0, 0.36.5 and 0.02.5 hectares at Kumarangudi Village, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District. The Mandamus is sought in accordance with the announcement of the Government of Tamil Nadu and in pursuance of representation dated 01.11.2021. 2.In the affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition, the petitioner had stated that he had obtained a crop loan and he was also eligible to obtain the crop loan.

After scrutinizing the records, the fifth respondent had issued crop loan. The amount had been disbursed by the Government of Tamil Nadu towards waiver of the said crop loan. This effectively met that the loan which the petitioner had availed cannot be recovered from the petitioner, as it has been declared as being waived by the Government. 3.Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader stated that orders waiving the crop loan had already been passed and therefore nothing further survives for adjudicating in the Writ Petition.

4.Recording the said statement, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
