Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to return the document of title deed pertaining to the petitioner's property namely the original sale deed, dated 31.10.1984, registered as document No.1285 of 1984 forthwith and to pay a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the petitioner by way of damages for the loss and mental agony caused to the petitioner on account of the inordinate delay in returning the document of title deed. When the matter is taken up today for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has became infructuous, hence he is not pressing the writ petition.
