PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representations, dated 11.11.2013 and 30.12.2013 given by the petitioner and consequently remove the third respondent from the post of Panchayat President of Seenivasanallur Village Panchayat, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District as per Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act. ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent (District Collector) to initiate action as against the third respondent Panchayat President under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994. The tenure of the third respondent Panchayat President had already expired in the year 2016 and hence, a Writ of Mandamus would not lie as of now.

2. With the above said observations, the writ petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
