ORDER

The order of rejection dated 04.03.2014, rejecting the claim of the writ petitioner for appointment to the post of P.G. Assistant (Economics), is under challenge in the present Writ Petition.

2.The writ petitioner submitted an application for recruitment to the post of P.G. Assistant (Economics) and she was not selected on account of the fact that the writ petitioner cannot be granted with the benefit of PSTM priority quota. The writ petitioner studied undergraduate degree in English medium and further, even in the application, she had not mentioned to avail PSTM quota.

3.In view of the fact that the writ petitioner is not eligible to get the benefit of PSTM, the order of rejection passed by the respondent is in consonance with the terms and conditions as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

W.P.(MD)No.4840/2014 well as the recruitment rules in force. The quota or priority is to be provided strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions notified. The PSTM quota is to be granted only if the candidates have studied all the eligible qualification in Tamil and not otherwise.

4.This being the factual position, this Court is of an opinion that the writ petitioner was unsuccessful in the process of selection. The PSTM quota cannot be granted, as the writ petitioner did her undergraduate degree in English medium. 5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition deserves no merit consideration and the same stands dismissed. No costs.

Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(T & P) // True Copy // Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) Myr To The Member Secretary, Teachers's Recruitment Board, 4th Floor, EVK Sampath Maligai, DPI Campus, College Road, Chennai-600 006.
