ORDER

The petitioner has submitted an application dated 09.05.2023 to register him as a Union Contractor with the respondent Municipality. Since the said application has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent, on written instruction received from the respondent submits that the petitioner has not enclosed the following documents:

(i) a self-attested copy on the properties of the proposed contractor and encumbrance certificate;

(ii) income-tax return for the period 2022-2023; (iii) a self-attested copy of GST and Pan Number; (iv) a solvency certificate etc.

A copy of the letter dated 17.08.2023, received from the respondent, has been furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2/4

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner claims that the documents mentioned in the above letter dated 17.08.2023 have been duly submitted to the respondent.

4. In view of the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 09.05.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
