ORDER
The impugned order dated 26.02.2014 rejecting the claim of the writ petitioner for promotion to the post of General Manager of the Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2.The writ petitioner was appointed as Manager in the Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., and subsequently, promoted to the post of Assistant General Manager on 04.08.2008. The petitioner states https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
that he was fully qualified for the post of General Manager. However, on account of the writ petition filed by the fourth respondent before the Principle Seat of Madras High Court, the case of the writ petitioner was not considered for promotion to the post of General Manager. However, the writ petitioner attained the age of superannuation and during the relevant point of time, the writ petitioner was also facing a charge memo and department disciplinary proceedings.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader states that the writ petitioner was facing the departmental disciplinary proceedings and his case was not be considered for promotion to the post of General Manager. In view of the fact that the writ petitioner attained the age of superannuation and retired from service now, the case has not been considered for promotion. Thus, there is no infirmity as such in respect of the order impugned passed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
