When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents circulated a copy of G.O.(Ms)No.71 Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated 20.02.2023 and submitted that the life convict viz., Kanthiah @ Kandhasamy, was released prematurely, under Section 432(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973(Central Act 2 of 1974). 2.In view of the above fact, nothing survives for adjudication in the contempt petition and hence, the same is closed.
