None appears for the writ petitioner.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. The application was submitted in the year 2013. It has been closed by now. The petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh application for issuance of passport. If FIR is only pending against the petitioner that will not be a bar. If the case has been charge sheeted, the petitioner will have to move the jurisdictional criminal Court. If there is no other impediment, the respondent will consider the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law and dispose it of within a period of four weeks after the receipt of the fresh application from the petitioner.

3. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
