Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned Government Order issued by the first respondent vide G.O.(Ms)No.252, School Education (Q) Department, dated 05.10.2012 and quash the same as illegal and consequentially to direct the respondents to recruit the B.T. Assistants / Secondary Grade Teachers on the basis of the marks obtained in the Teacher Eligibility Examination. For Petitioner : Mr.A.K.Manickam For R1 : Mrs.S.Srimathy, Special Government Pleader.

For R2 : Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition is filed, challenging the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.252, School Education (Q) Department, dated 5.10.2012.

2.The said Government Order was earlier quashed by the High Court and the consequential Government Order issued was revised by order made in G.O.Ms.No.71, School Education (TRB) Department, dated 30.05.2014. The said G.O.Ms.No.71 was also challenged before the High Court and the matter went upto Supreme Court and finally the Apex Court upheld the validity of the Government Order issued in G.O.Ms.No.71 in the case of V.Lavanya & Ors Vs. The State of Tamil Nadu & Ors, reported in 2017(1) SCC 322.

W.P.(MD)No.5135/2014 3.This being the factum, the present Writ Petition deserves no further adjudication and accordingly, stands disposed of as infructuous.

No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
