PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission and provide suitable protection to perform the festival of Arulmigu Sri Ulagamman and Shri Manthaipidari Amman temple (Kisg;ghhp cw;rtk;) would be conducted in the month of Avani at Orivayal Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by way of consider the petitioner representation dated 20.08.2024. ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the second respondent to grant permission and provide suitable protection to perform the festival of Arulmigu Sri Ulagamman and Shri Manthaipidari Amman temple (Kisg;ghhp cw;rtk;) would be conducted in the month of Avani at Orivayal Village, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District by way of considering the writ petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the jurisdictional police is the Kadaladi Police Station but the said police has not been impleaded. Hence, the Inspector of Police, Kadaladi Police Station, Ramanathapuram District is suo motu impleaded as fifth respondent.
3. Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) takes notice for the respondents 1, 3 and 4 and Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 2 and 5. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2 and 5 would submit that there existed 8 groups and all the groups are claiming permission to perform the festival.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that except one person, all the 8 groups are ready to perform the festival jointly and that they are going to conduct the festival on 10.09.2024 jointly.

6. Recording the submissions made on either side, if all the groups are ready and willing to perform the festival jointly, the fifth respondent is directed to consider the writ petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2024 and pass orders on or before 08.09.2024.
7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
