2. This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.189 of 2016 registered on the file of the first respondent for the offences under Sections 147, 148,294(b), 323, 324, 307 and Section 3(1) of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act 1984.

3. The grounds set out in the memorandum of grounds are not sufficient to invoke the inherent powers of this Court for quashing the impugned First Information Report. The hands of the investigation cannot be tied.

4. Therefore, I find no merit in this criminal original petition. The criminal original petition stands dismissed, accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
