The present Writ Petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, to provide police protection for the celebration of annual festival of Athankarai Pallivasal to be held on 17th and 18th January 2014, as the 2/4

prayer requested for a particular period, which has been long over. Hence, there is no necessity in keeping this writ petition pending.
