This petition has been filed by the father of the detenue on the ground that the detenue has been missing for more than 1 1⁄2 years and the respondent police did not take any steps to find whereabouts of the detenue. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that apart from the complaint given by the petitioner, the wife of the detenue also gave a complaint and a Man Missing FIR has been registered in Crime No.124 of 2022. The learend Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that all steps have been taken by the respondent police to ascertain the whereabouts of the detenue.
3.In the considered view of this Court, it will suffice if a direction is issued to the second respondent police to proceed further with the investigation in accordance with the guidelines issued by this Court in Selvaraj v. State rep. by the Superintendent of Police and others reported in (2018) 3 MLJ (Crl) 712. The respondent police shall expeditioiusly find the whereabouts of the son of the petitioner and bring the case to an end.
4. The Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
