[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] Heard Mr.R.Murugappan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 5 and Mr.M.Suresh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for respondent No.7.

Learned Advocate for respondent No.7 and the learned Government Pleader submit that since the year 2017, the 7th respondent Corporation ceased to function and Bore Wells erected by the 7th respondent in S.Nos.1488-1A-12B and 1489 1A-12C at Arasur Village, Santhankulam Taluk, Tuticorin District, are also closed.

In view of the said submission, the purpose of the writ petition does not subsist.
