ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 30.06.2023.
2. According to the writ petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 16.04.2025. Hence, he has sent a representation on 17.04.2025 seeking interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits. Since there is no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date on which the amounts were disbursed to the writ petitioner, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
