ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to grant patta in favour of the petitioner for the land measuring 30 cents in S.No.43/4 in Arumbanur Village in Madurai North Taluk in Madurai District, based upon the petitioner's representation, dated 05.01.2015.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents had produced the letter dated 06.02.2023 received by him from the second respondent. In the said letter, it has been stated that the land to which the petitioner seeks patta is very close to Madurai Corporation and that the Survey No.43/4 has been classified as Government Punjai Lands. Hence, the patta cannot be given as requested by the petitioner. 2/4

In the light of the above said statement, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent seeking for appropriate relief within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the first respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks thereafter.
4. With the above said directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
