Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to close the history sheet in No.13 of 2008 and consequently direct the first respondent to remove the petitioner's name in the history sheet from the first respondent's official record based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2021. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Saravanakumar For Respondents : Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner's name is figuring in the history sheet maintained by the second respondent. It is seen that for more than two years, the petitioner has not come under the adverse notice of the police. Therefore, retention of the petitioner's name in the history sheet in not warranted.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor states that in every year during the month of December, review will be undertaken. If there is no case registered against the petitioner in the immediately preceding two years, his name will be positively deleted from the history sheet.

4. Recording the said submission, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
