Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents Nos.1 to 4, to withdraw the Monitoring power given to the State of Tamil Nadu in terms of Tamil Nadu Legal Merrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011 and Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 as the State Government cannot be a Judge of his own cause and consequently direct the Union of India to enforce the Tamil Nadu Legal Metrology (Enforcement) Rules, 2011 and Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 and Motor Vehicles Act 1988, directly through the competent Union of India authorities.
