O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed alleging that the respondent Police have committed the contempt by permitting the first respondent to conduct temple festival in violation of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD).No.18696 of 2023 dated 03.08.2023.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court has directed the second respondent to convene meeting of all parties concerned and in case the situation is conducive for conducting programme, directed to grant permission by keeping in view of the fact that the festival is scheduled on 06.08.2023. It is further submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the second respondent in violation of the Court order has granted permission to the first respondent group for conducting festival on 13.08.2023.

3. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the official respondent has reported that the second respondent Police have never granted permission to conduct festival to any one of the groups including the first respondent group and the apprehension of the petitioner that the second respondent Police has permitted the first respondent group, is incorrect and this petition is filed 2/4

without any basis and information. The petitioner failed to show any material that the respondent Police have granted permission to the first respondent.

4. The petitioner has approached this Court without any basis and therefore, this Contempt Petition is dismissed. 11.08.2023 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No ssb To
