ORDER

The petitioner, with an allegation that the shed put up by him in the agricultural land has been damaged by the private respondents, has lodged a complaint before the respondent Police and has filed this petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to take action on his complaint.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents submits that the petitioner's complaint has been treated as petition enquiry in CSR.No.740 of 2025 and the same is pending. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, a 2/5

civil dispute is pending between the parties and therefore, they have to verify the same and then, take action on the petitioner's complaint. 3.The petitioner with a grievance that his shed has been damaged by the private respondents has lodged a complaint. The respondent Police has to verify the genuineness of the complaint and take appropriate action in accordance with law. The complaint appears to have been lodged only on 21.07.2025 and therefore, the respondent Police is directed to take a call on the complaint and verify as to whether any cognizable offence is made out and take appropriate action, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
