Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents herein to carry out appropriate survey and demarcate the boundaries of the Petitioner's land comprised in original Survey No.15/1, later sub-divided Survey No.15/1A, presently as UDR Survey No.15/1A1A of an extent of 45 cents out of total extent of 6 Acres and 72 Cents situate at Kodapethan Village, presently Madurai East Taluk, earlier under the Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The petitioner claims to have purchased 45 cents of punjai land out of larger area 6 acres 72 cents in UDR Survey 1/3

No.151A/1A in Kondapethan Village, Thallakulam Sub District in Madurai North by a registered sale deed dated 19.08.2021. After having purchased the said area of 45 cents, the petitioner had given an on-line application to conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the said 45 cents out of the larger extent of 6 acres and 72 cents. Such on-line application was given on 10.11.2021 and necessary fees has also been paid.

3.A direction is given to the second respondent / Inspector of Survey, Collectorate Campus in Madurai, to take the assistance of both the first and third respondents, identify the lands, examine whether the lands are available and thereafter, conduct a survey with respect to the lands purchased by the petitioner herein and which is described in the sale deed, dated 19.08.2021. The second respondent may also direct the first respondent to issue notice to any other surrounding land owner and examine the title deeds and thereafter, take a consider decision to proceed further with the application made by the petitioner herein.

4.I am confident that the entire exercise would be completed within a period of twenty weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by the second respondent. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
