Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment in the Kulam situated in Survey No.600 and Odai in Survey No.746 situated at Kumulur Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 19.05.2023.

Heard both sides.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is not pressing the writ prayer as regards S.No.600. Liberty is given to the petitioner to agitate the said issue in future. 3.As regards S.No.746, Kumulur Village, it is clarified by the official respondents that it has been classified as Odai in the revenue record and that on ground, it is lying as a plain land. 2/4

4.Direction is given to the official respondents to ensure that S.No.746 is kept free of all encroachment for all times to come. All effective steps shall be taken to restore the water channel to its original condition.
