Respondent PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent to issue Patta in the name of the Petitioner, pertaining to the property comprised is Natham Survey No.50/8, New Survey No.385/13, situated at Pudhur Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District on the basis of the Judgment and Decree passed by the learned Sub Judge, Kovilpatti in O.S.No.57/2011 dated 06.06.2016 and also on the basis of the Petitioner's representations dated 06.01.2021 and 18.10.2021.

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondent /Tahsildar, Vilathikulam Taluk in Tuticorin District, to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 06.01.2021 and 18.10.2021 seeking grant of patta to the petitioner with respect to the property in Natham Survey No.50/8, New Survey No.385/13 in Pudur Village, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin District.

3.The petitioner takes advantage of the Judgment of the Subordinate Court, Kovilpatti in O.S.No.57 of 2011 dated 26.06.2016. 4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

W.P(MD)No.20502 of 2021 5.A direction is given to the petitioner to file necessary on-line application for grant of patta and also remit the necessary charges in the Government treasury. On receipt of such application, a direction is given to the respondent / Tahsildar, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin District, to issue notice to the petitioner, to issue notice any other person who might be interested in the grant of patta to the petitioner, examine the records submitted by the petitioner including the judgments of the aforementioned Sub Court are thereafter, pass a considered order whether to grant patta or not. Such exercise should be completed within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of on-line application from the petitioner herein.

6.With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
