Prayer in CRL OP(MD). 17121/ 2019 :

Criminal Original Petition Filed Under Section 482 Cr.P.C.to Call for the records relating to the impugned charge Sheet in SC No.201 of 2017 on the file of the Learned Subordinate Court, Padmanabapuram, Kanyakumari Dt., and quash the same.

ORDER:- These Criminal Original Petitions coming on for hearing on this day under the caption for "Extension of time"and upon perusing the earlier order dated 12.01.2023 and the requisition letter submitted by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil, vide the letter in D.No.281/2024 dated08.01.2024,this Court made the following order: This Court vide orders dated 12.01.2023 directed the learned Sub Judge, Padmanabapuram to complete the trial in S.C.No.95 of 2015 & S.C.No.201 of 2017, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

The learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil vide a letter dated 08.01.2024 bearing D.No.281/2024,S.C. has stated that cases in S.C.No.95 of 2015 & S.C.No.201 of 2017 on the file of the Sub Court, Padmanabapuram were transferred to the file of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil. He has also sought for extension of time of two months to dispose of cases in S.C.No.95 of 2015 & S.C.No.201 of 2017.

3. Being satisfied with the reasons stated by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil in the said letter dated 08.01.2024, this Court is inclined to extend the time to dispose of the cases in S.C.No.95 of 2015 &

S.C.No.201 of 2017. The learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil is directed to dispose of the cases in S.C.No.95 of 2015 & S.C.No.201 of 2017 as expeditiously as possible.
