Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the order Na.Ka.No.K2/33425/13 dated 06.01.2014 passed by the respondent and quash the same and con sequently, direct the respondent to fix the pay of the petitioner in the post of Assistant in Revenue Department with due pay protection ie., at the last pay drawn of Rs.9700/- including the Grade pay as on 17.12.2012 and count the service rendered by the petitioner as Constable in the Police Department from 30.11.2003 a.n to 16.12.2012 as qualifying service for all the service and pensionary benefits. For Petitioner : No appearance For Respondent : Mr.M.Lingadurai Government Advocate

ORDER

When the matter was listed on 01.09.2021, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner stated that the petitioner had collected the papers under the pretext that he would engage some other advocate. However, the petitioner has not engaged any counsel. Hence, the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner was taken as if he reported no instruction. Hence, this Court directed issuance of notice to the petitioner informing that the writ petition will be heard on 27.09.2021 and the said notice was also served to the petitioner on 07.09.2021. 2.There is no representation for the petitioner, despite notice was served to the petitioner, pursuant to the earlier order of this Court.

W.P.(MD).No.6484 of 2014 3.This Court is of the view that no useful purpose will be served in keeping this writ petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
