(Crime No.99 of 2023) PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent Police to file a final report on completion of the investigation in Crime No.99 of 2023, dated 01.06.2023, within the period stipulated by this Court.

O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.99 of 2023 as expeditiously as possible and file the final report.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, on a complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent Police have registered FIR in Crime No.99 of 2023, for the offences under Sections 120B, 341, 294(b), 323, 506 (1) and 379 of I.P.C. r/w Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 on 01.06.2023 and submitted that, in spite of registration of FIR, no substantial progress in the investigation. Therefore, sought for suitable directions.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on the other hand, submits that, the respondent Police have completed the investigation and filed the final report on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ottanchithiram and the learned Magistrate has taken the same on file as S.T.C.No.1367 of 2023. 2/4

Since the investigation has already been completed, no further directions can be given insofar as investigation is concerned, however, in case, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the part of the investigation in the final report, she is at liberty to approach the appropriate Court and file suitable petition.
