Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2024 and the proceedings of the second respondent dated 24.06.2024 within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the third respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law based on the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2024 and the proceedings of the second respondent dated 24.06.2024.

2. Mr.D.S.Nedunchezhian, learned Government Advocate has instructions to state that the petitioner has title only to an extent of 5 cents. However, the petitioner requests the patta with reference to an extent of 13 cents and therefore, he submits that if the application is resubmitted for 5 cents, the same will be considered.

3. Mr.K.K.Udayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the remaining extent stands in the name of

the petitioner's father. He further submits that if an enquiry is held, then the respondents would be able to get a clarification about the same.

4. In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, a mandamus is issued to the third respondent to hold an enquiry, verify the documents that are submitted by the petitioner and thereafter, proceed to pass orders. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
