The Writ Petition is filed challenging the order passed by the third respondent, dated 11.7.2024 cancelling the patta issue in favour of the Petitioner, who purchased the property from the original assignee of the land under the provisions of the Land Reforms Act.
2.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the impugned order is covered by the decision of this Court in W.P(MD)No.11575 of 2025, wherein, the impugned order was quashed in a Writ Petition filed by a similarly placed person. 4.A reading of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.11575 of 2025 would indicate that the impugned order was passed mainly on the ground that prior notice was not issued before cancelling the patta in the name of Petitioner therein. In the case on hand, there is no indication that the Petitioner herein was issued with prior notice before cancelling the patta that stood in her name.
5.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5 would fairly submit that the petitioner is a similarly placed person and the benefit of the order made in W.P(MD)No.20810 of 2024, dated 28.3.2025 can be extended to the Petitioner.
6.In view of the same, following the decision of this Court as aforesaid, the impugned order is quashed and the respondents are directed to restore the patta in the name of the Petitioner. 3/6
7.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
