ORDER
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2.The relief sought for cannot be granted. During the relevant time, the registering authority lacked the power to cancel registration of documents. Section 77(A) of the Registration Act has been introduced only in the year 2022. I have already held that this provision is not retrospective. The petitioner has to necessarily establish his rights only before the jurisdictional Civil Court.
3.Granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
