PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to sanction and pay interest at the rate of 18% from 26.09.2010 to till the date of actual payment of all pensionary benefits in respect of petitioner's deceased husband and Rs.50,000/- by way of damages for the culpable delay and failure to comply with the direction of this Court within a period of two months.

ORDER

The petitioner is seeking family pension on death of her husband who is a Government employee.

2.In the counter, it is stated that the criminal case was pending against the petitioner's husband and thereafter, he was acquitted. After observing the formalities, the family pension proposal was sent to AG (A&E), Chennai on 01.04.2016 vide letter No.A4/3363/2014 and orders have been issued in Accountant General's authorization PPO No.D3214855 dated 13.10.2016.
