For Respondent : Mr.M.Muthumanikkam, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.570/22 on the file of the Respondent Police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A5, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6 and 7 of TN Rectified Spirit Rules, 2000, Sections 4(1)(aaa) and 14 A of TN Prohibition Act and Sections 420, 468 and 471 of IPC in Cr.No.570 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in illegal possession of liquor bottles. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that totally five accused involved in this case and A1 to A3 were already arrested and remanded to judicial custody. He would further submit that three mobile phones and two brandy bottles were seized from the petitioner.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering seriousness and gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
