O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.30 of 2014 on the file of the respondent No.2 police.
2.It is submitted by the learned counsel that basing on the complaint given by the petitioner/defacto complainant, a case has been registered in Crime No.30 of 2014 for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 468, 471 and 506(i) IPC and the police after completing the investigation has filed the final report closing the crime. The petitioner thereafter filed an application for further investigation before the learned Magistrate and the same was ordered on 25.10.2017. It is submitted further that the police have not made any progress in the investigation and the final report is not filed.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that the officers, who were handling the case, have been transferred and since then, there is no substantial progress in the investigation. The learned 2/5
Government Advocate (Crl.side) after consulting with the officers, who are present in the Court, has requested three months time to complete the investigation. The same is recorded.
4.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and on perusal of the records, the respondent police are directed to complete the further investigation in Crime No.30 of 2014 as quickly as possible, not later than 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to cooperate with the investigation in the said crime. 5.With the above directions, this Petition is disposed of.
