This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2019 and accord permission to conduct temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Nallamuthumarriyamman Temple located at Nambampatti Village, Viralimali Taluk, Pudukottai District. 2.Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent No.4.
3.By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
4.The petitioner is a member of Urali Gounder community. Their community people were conducting festival in respect of Arulmighu Sri Nallamuthu Mariamman Temple at Nambampatti Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District. There are difference of opinions between the villagers in respect of conduct of festival. Hence, this Court directed the third respondent to conduct a peace committee meeting. In the peace committee meeting, there is no consensus arrived at between the parties.
5.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has also made a representation on 12.09.2019 for that purpose. Now, the learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer with respect to disposing of his representation. 6.In view of the above limited prayer sought for, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.09.2019 and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
