ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, restraining the respondents from preventing the petitioner Association members and other residents from using the cart track comprised in S.No.310/2, passing through Annamalai Nagar, Vetrivel Nagar, and Poes Gardens, and directing the second respondent to carry out the necessary mutation in the revenue records based on the representation submitted by the petitioner Association dated 23.02.2018.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner association represents the members and other residents who have a lawful right to use the cart track comprised in Survey No.310/2, passing through Annamalai Nagar, Vetrivel Nagar, and Poes Gardens. The petitioner Association submitted a representation dated 23.02.2018 requesting necessary mutation in the revenue records to reflect this right. Despite the representation, the respondents have obstructed the lawful use of the cart track and have not carried out the required mutation. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the aforesaid submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2018, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall
be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The second respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
