ORDER

Mr.K.Sivabalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. 2.The petitioner is aggrieved by the impugned order passed by the second respondent/the Assistant City Health Officer, refusing to incorporate the name of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Sathiya Priya, who was born on 09.10.1987, although the Date of Birth has been incorporated in the Birth Register maintained by the second respondent.

3.The respondents have relied upon a Government Order in G.O.Ms.No. 415, Public Health and Preventive Medicine Department, dated 27.09.2021. 4.Under similar circumstances, this Court has intervened and directed the second respondent to incorporate the name in the Birth Register. 2/4

5.Therefore, this Writ Petition stands allowed with a direction to the second respondent to incorporate the name of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Sathiya Priya, in the Birth Register and issue appropriate birth certificate as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, the impugned letter issued by the second respondent, dated 30.06.2025 stands quashed. No costs.
