This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to give police protection to the petitioner based on his representation dated 27.10.2016.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that now, almost four years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.
