Respondents PRAYER :- This Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, to direct the 3rd respondent police give adequate police protection for life and limb of the petitioners based on the complaint dated 26.06.2023 and 17.07.2023 within the period stipulated by this Court in accordance with law.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks police protection by considering their representations dated 26.06.2023 and 17.07.2023.

2. The fourth respondent is the son of the first petitioner. The petitioners' father has given a representation to the respondent police to grant him protection as the 4th respondent is repeatedly threatening him.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the petition given by the petitioner, both parties were summoned and both of them said that they will not behave in such a manner and have given it in writing and the petition is closed.

4. It can be seen that by an order dated 25.07.2023, based under the provisions of the Maintenance of the Senior Citizen Act, 2007, the Tribunal/Revenue Divisional Officer has passed orders against the 4th

respondent not to disturb his peaceful life or interfere in his affairs. It is further directed in the said order that the police have to grant protection if the order is violated.

5. In view thereof, the third respondent police, namely, the Inspector of Police, Singampunari Police Station, Sivagangai District, is directed to grant protection as per the order of the Tribunal dated 25.07.2023, so long as the order of the Tribunal is in force. The petitioner shall intimate any such disturbance or interference from now on and if such a petition is received forthwith, the third respondent police is directed to give protection in terms and in accordance of the order dated 25.07.2023.
