The prayer sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct Navarathiri [Navami] festival Arulmigu Sri Ramalinga Sowdambigai Amman in S.R.S.Ammankovil Street, Aruppukottai Town, Virudhunagar District commencing from 29.09.2019 till the end on 10.10.2019 by giving adequate police protection based on the representation of the petitioner dated 05.09.2019.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Senior Counsel for the sixth respondent submitted that the festival is already over.

3.In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned police for future festival for proper permission. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
