ORDER
The instant Writ Petition has been filed in a nature of Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the first respondent/Passport Officer, Madurai to re-issue the passport of the petitioner, based on application, dated 26.03.2018 in Reference No.18-1003190333.
2. It is not necessary to go into a detailed examination of the facts herein.
3. In the counter affidavit filed by the first respondent, it had been very clearly stated that, due to efflux of time the said passport application had been closed by the first respondent on 13.08.2019 and this has also been informed to the petitioner. It is further stated that the petitioner may place an order for reissuance of passport with relevant documents mentioning the passport application reference along with a copy of the order of I.A. No.87 of 2016 passed by the learned I Additional District Judge, Tirunelveli, the fresh application will be processed for issuing of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P(MD) No. 17880 of 2018 passport, in accordance with the provisions of Indian Passports Act, 1967.
4. Recording the statement made in the counter affidavit, direction is issued to the petitioner to apply afresh as stated.
